This morning, I got a YouTube notification. I’m very selective about what notifications I allow, but it was a live stream from Tesla. I looked, and I recognized it. It was one of those scam cryptocurrency streams. I looked at the videos on the channel, and I instantly knew. It was Linus Tech Tips.
I also saw that Tech Quickie was also taken over. According to linustechtips.com, Tech Linked was also taken.
At the time of writing, the channels have now been deleted. The tag @linustechtips leads to a 404, and there’s a lot of ruckus on the forums. It’s not good.
Luckily, they have a lot of backups.
In case you didn’t notice, they put a lot of thought into their backup servers.
